We are a marketing agency and we installed YABB for a customer web site, and unfortunately learnt that it's virtually useless now. It was okay for a few months but then got hammered by robots posting links to penis enlargement medication. In a matter of days it received about a quarter million posts and brought down the entire web server a couple of times. Even with all the anti-marketing tools the robots still got in. So we had to disable all posting.
To disable all the advertising and marketing posts we replaced all the URLs with links to our own web sites, then we had to disabe the facility to make new posts.
